Garmin Instinct 2 Solar, Tactical-Edition, 45mm

I have owned this watch for over a year now (purchased 12 MAY 2023), and have worn it almost every day since then. I figured this outstanding piece of equipment is more than worthy of a review in my book.

Before purchasing the Garmin Instinct 2 Sol-Tac, I primarily used a Samsung Smartwatch with touchscreen capabilities. While it was nice at times, I wanted something more rugged, durable, and functional for the active and adventurous lifestyle that I choose to live. After spending several hours researching different brands and models of watches, I decided on Garmin over the competitors, specifically the Instinct 2 Solar Tactical-Edition. 45mm.

I highly considered choosing the Coyote Tan color offered which I think looks really nice, but I ultimately decided to go with the Black for color matching versatility.

While all use and navigation of the watch requires the use of buttons rather than touchscreen technology or gestures, this watch comes packed with some incredibly neat features, including some that I’ve still yet to use to their full capabilities in the time that I’ve owned it. It took no time at all for me to adjust to using buttons again, and in fact I’ve even grown to prefer it at times.
